From Heritage, the Future Shines

From 1 to 13 December 2026, Grandson Castle will host a light installation first presented at the Murten Light Festival in January 2026.

As part of the commemorations marking the 550th anniversary of the Battles of Grandson and Murten, 550 illuminated birds invite visitors to look up and discover the historic surroundings from a new perspective.

Familiar architectural silhouettes are revealed in a different light, while the birds evoke shared memories and a vision of the future. This poetic artwork brings history, heritage and contemporary art together, conveying a message of hope and peace.
