Labels and certifications

The Grandson Castle Foundation is part of the Vaud Ambassadeurs community. This label, awarded by Vaud Promotion, recognises companies, producers and entrepreneurs who share common values and embody excellence in the canton of Vaud.

To obtain this recognition, our practices underwent an independent external audit to verify our compliance with 23 social responsibility criteria across six areas:

• Environmental responsibility

These six areas align closely with our values of expertise, curiosity, inclusion, commitment, responsibility and synergy.

Grandson Castle participates in the “Swisstainable” programme and has achieved “Engaged – Level II” status.

An initiative of Switzerland Tourism, participation in the “Swisstainable” programme reflects the Grandson Castle Foundation’s values and commitment to offering a sustainable museum, gastronomic and tourism experience.

Grandson Castle is classified as a historic monument of national importance by the Federal Office of Culture (FOC), recognising its exceptional value within Switzerland’s architectural heritage. This classification commits us to preserving the castle’s authenticity while making it accessible to the public.

These labels and certifications are only the first steps in a process that continues to evolve. Just as our castle is being reinvented through restoration work until 2026, our commitment to excellence and sustainability is an ongoing and dynamic process.

Each certification we achieve is the result of collective effort and the daily commitment of all our teams to making Grandson Castle a place where historical heritage is not frozen in the past, but actively engages with the challenges of the contemporary world.
